2018/2019 Spending Overview

We are excited to share the wonderful ways in which the money raised from all of the PTO fundraising events during the 2018/2019 school year was able to further enhance the elementary experience of all of our students.  Below are the most noteworthy applications of your generous donations:

  • $15,115 towards funding all Field Trips for all grade levels

  • $13,100 towards Curriculum Needs (including The Leader In Me, Lexia, Handwriting Without Tears and Literacy Night)

  • $7,341 towards Teacher Discretionary (for the classroom needs as identified by our wonderful teachers, including books, class supplies, grade level curriculum materials, music, etc.)

  • $6,839 toward Community Building & Improvement (including new soccer goals for recess, and the FREE Community Building Events: UofM Women’s Basketball Game, Movie Night/Parents Night Out, Student & Special Guest Dance, Ice Skating at Vets, Lawton In The Community Day, Student & Special Guest Science/STEM Night, Coffee Truck for Families and Teachers in September & May, Kona Ice on the last day of school and our FREE Scholastic Book Fair for ALL students and teachers!)

  • $3,715 towards Mini Grants (Warm Winter Wishes, ukulele tuners for all students, Green Initiative materials, iPad for the Art Room, Write-About Curriculum, Fraction Circles educational materials, A Walk to Water classroom books and the all school Magic Show at the end of the year)

  • $3,413 towards Mindfulness Training for Teachers and Students

  • $2,749 towards Classroom Magazines

  • $2,150 towards school assemblies and author visits for all grades

The PTO also funded additional programs, including the Science Fair, Battle of the Books, Science Olympiad, Disability Awareness, Ice Cream Social, Theater Arts and the Learning Garden.

In addition to our PTO donors, we are equally as grateful for all of our amazing volunteers who put in hours of work at each event!  These trips, programs and activities are made possible because of all of you.
